BlackBerry Dynamics, IBM Connections, SAP SuccessFactors, and other integration improvements in Sapho 4.2

In Sapho 4.2, our main focus was adding new integrations, a new security provider, and expanding our event delivery options.

Added support for BlackBerry Dynamics and new Ping Identity updates

Similar to Airwatch and MobileIron, BlackBerry Dynamics aims to embrace enterprise mobility by helping to eliminate the risk of data leakage at the application level. Sapho now supports BlackBerry Dynamics so you can manage and protect your Sapho app without putting your data at risk.

Sapho already supports OpenToken via our Ping Identity security provider, but we’ve extended our support to include SAML 2.0 with PingFederate SSO. You can now select whether you want to use SAML 2.0 or OpenToken in your security provider settings for Ping Identity.

IBM Connections and web service event channels

At Sapho, we strive to cover to as many channels as possible, and IBM Connections is our latest exciting addition. IBM Connections is IBM’s integrated business social network collaboration platform, designed to enable workers to collaborate faster, boost productivity, and drive innovation. With Sapho, you can push notifications about important system changes or data events as new threads directly into IBM Connections forums so your employees can discuss them in context and make informed decisions.

Sapho already delivers personalized notifications about important system events and data to  messengers, your Sapho workfeed, or directly to your email inbox. Now, you can also push Sapho notifications into your custom applications utilizing our new web service notifications. You’ll be able to configure Sapho to call your own custom HTTP callback whenever an event is triggered. For example, a web service notification can be used to send a notification whenever a lead becomes an opportunity in your in-house CRM.

New SuccessFactors and SurveyMonkey integrations

In this release, we added two very important integrations to Sapho — SAP SuccessFactors and SurveyMonkey.

SuccessFactors is a popular enterprise HCM software and has been one of the top system requests from our customers. You can now build micro apps based on the critical data in SuccessFactors and create custom events to streamline your workflows. For example, our ready-made micro app allows employees to search through employee and team lists so they can easily find the contact information of their colleagues.

Our new SurveyMonkey integration will help employees stay informed about their current surveys. You can check survey results right from Sapho on any device including basic stats, questions responses stats, charts aggregations, and more.

We have also extended Tableau support to include Tableau visualizations. This will allow you to view your custom-built Tableau visualizations in one place.

Swipe gesture added to UI

You can now swipe left or right to switch between records on mobile devices. This allows employees to efficiently move between items and ultimately creates a more fluid experience for consuming and browsing data. Simply add Previous Record and Next Record to any button and swiping will be automatically implemented on mobile devices.
